Annual Dianthus, or commonly called "pinks," are low maintenance, fragrant and super flowering annuals. Cute and fringy. Popular annual varieties include Dianthus chenensis and the 'Telstar' series.
- Bloom: spring to autumn
- Light: full sun
- Watering: slight dry to the touch. Somewhat drought-tolerant but require about 1" of water per week. Avoid overwatering, as they are prone to rot if kept too wet.
- Soil: regular to slightly alkaline, well drained fertile potting mix
- Height at maturity: approx 6 - 12"
- Spread at maturity: approx 8 - 12"
- Fertilization: apply a balanced liquid fertilizer spring
- Maintenance: deadhead spent blooms
