Jamal Al Asfar Fig

Jamal Al Asfar figs were bred for a beautiful uniform shape and appealing yellow skin. Due to its skin color, the fig is also sometimes called Yellow Beauty. Jamal Al Asfar figs grow to medium size and contain red pulp. The pulp is dense so there is a lot to enjoy with each fig. This variety is berry flavored and known as one of the sweetest fig varieties. Jamal Al Asfar figs have the ability to dry on the tree for an even higher concentration of sweetness. Jamal Al Asfar is a common variety, not needing wasp pollination. In addition to these pretty yellow figs, Jamal Al Asfar trees also grow 3- and 5-lobed leaves with straight edges.

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
