An excellent variety of kiwi that is self-pollinating, cold-hardy, and low maintenance. The fruit from this prolific vine is sweet and flavorful, with an oblong shape and smooth green skin tinged with red. Unlike its cousins, Kiwi Prolific doesn’t have the fuzzy skin that needs to be peeled – the whole fruit is edible.
This kiwi vine is relatively pest- and disease-free and makes an excellent climbing houseplant for a trellis or planted in the garden along a fence.
It’s a fast and vigorous plant with bonus fruit in late summer and early fall.
