Perennial Heirloom. Sorrel shows up early and stays late in your garden, offering lemony leaves at the beginning of spring through the end of fall. Perennial in USDA zones 4-9. For the best flavor, pick the leaves when young, succulent, and tender. Sorrel adds citrusy brightness to salads and as an accent to rich fish or dairy dishes.

Soil & Water: Grow in rich soil high in organic matter and nitrogen. They perform best with consistent moisture; drier conditions will increase the intensity of flavors.
