Blue Ogun is a very sought after cultivar of the San Pedro family, making it a must have for cacti, or medicinal plant collectors. Featuring a beautiful blue hue and a very thick growth habit. Originating from Peru this cactus exhibits a bright blue wax, honey-brown spines, v notch above spines, thick growth habit, bright blue color caused by large amounts of glaucous wax (adaptation to protect from the sun like sunscreen) considered sacred by indigenous people in the area, and renowned for its medicinal properties.
